Face it. We all live in our own little communities that make up this wonderful world in a planet called Earth, one of the little planets in a solar system out of many galaxies that are out there. We all need a place we can relate to, a place to come back or visit, a place to sleep, eat, and procreate.
I liken a country to a club because we are all members of at least one and while we respect the individual, or should at least attempt to, the wants and dictation of the majority rules. People who do not abide the club rules are penalized. Like a BBC (Billionaire Boys Club) a country draws its members and grows. People associate wealth with success and like generates like. When the club coffers are full, the maintenance of its facilities is done properly and the members benefit. Unfortunately, the cake is only this big and as in a club membership is always limited. The next resolution would be to open a branch elsewhere, but then again a country can't just "open a branch" elsewhere unless they colonized or seize another country which again is not right.
