Make Promises but remain Flexible

It is fine to make promises but at the same time adopt a flexible attitude as nothing is permanent and everything is susceptible to change. Change is universal and inevitable. Being determined is not enough to prevent dramatic developments of change. Be like the water in the river flowing over and around the obstacle of rocks in the river.
