Medevec Helicopter Carrying Accident Victims Crashes in Maryland, Four Killed

A medical helicopter transporting victims of a traffic accident crashed in West Baltimore, Maryland early Sunday morning killing four of the five people on board the aircraft. The helicopter’s pilot reported bad weather while transporting the victims from a Washington park and notified officials that they needed to land at Andrews Air Force Base and have ambulances take the victims to the hospital. Shortly after radioing in the call just after midnight the helicopter disappeared from radar and a few hours later officials found the wrecked remains in a wooded area of Walker Mill Regional Park. The pilot, an emergency responder, a flight paramedic and one of the victims in the traffic accident died while the second victim in the traffic accident survived and was rushed to a hospital.
